- RealNetworks
In April 1995, I designed the RealAudio 1.0 identity which soon became one of the most recognized brands on the Web. The logo design showed that RealAudio gives people a new voice. In 1997, I joined RealNetworks as Creative Director, a position I held for 4 years. I provided design leadership for the evolution of RealNetworks' identity in all communications media. In early 2001, I designed the new RealOne Player brand identity for the beta launch (Sept. 2001).

- Gateway Athletic Club
This logo was designed in 1994 for the Gateway Athletic Club. The club is located in a high rise in Seattle. Despite its downtown location in the middle of the city and on the 14th floor, you can workout in natural light or sunshine. The text around the building represents the sunshine.

- Northwest Link
I designed the logo and corporate identity for Northwest Link,
which grew to become the region's third largest Internet Service Provider.
The company focused on providing personal service to their customers, which
was a rarity in the early days of ISPs. I designed the logo to represent
the local flavor of Seattle, using an abstract silhouette of mountains
created from the letters "NWL". We developed a server script that read the
online weather report from the National Weather Service and selected an
appropriate version of the logo with the sky altered to reflect current
conditions in the Northwest. One day, when a 5.0 earthquake struck Seattle,
I even prepared a shaking version of the logo. (1994)

appeal. When the box is opened, the instructions read: "Keep sealed to
